Title: Falling for Wine: My Current Favorites + Tips for Beginners If you know me, you know I love wine. 🍷 There’s just something about pouring a glass at the end of the day (or let’s be honest, while making dinner) that feels cozy and celebratory all at once.
Right now, with the cooler weather rolling in, I’m obsessed with Witches Brew - a seasonal favorite you can find at Target. in red, white, or pumpkin spiced! It’s spiced, a little sweet, and basically tastes like fall in a glass.
But truly, I’ll try wine from anywhere. Some of my favorites have come from the Biltmore Estate in North Carolina and little wineries we stumble upon while traveling. I love the stories behind the bottles as much as the wine itself.
Falling for Wine: A Beginner’s Quick Guide
If you’re new to wine or just want to branch out, here are a few beginner-friendly picks:
Whites: Try a crisp Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc. They’re light, refreshing, and pair easily with almost anything.
Reds: A smooth Pinot Noir is usually a crowd-pleaser, and Merlot is a safe, mellow choice if you’re easing into reds.
Rosé: Always a fun option, especially dry rosés—they’re versatile and not too sweet.
Sparkling: Prosecco is an easy entry point if you love bubbles but don’t want to splurge on Champagne.
Pro tip: Don’t overthink pairings in the beginning. Just grab a bottle you’re curious about and enjoy it with whatever meal (or moment) you’re having.
